About the Event
Join North Star Jazz Workshops for an evening of music and conversation led by pianist and composer Kavyesh Kaviraj. As part of his North Star Artist Residency, Kavyesh will lead a clinic exploring how jazz musicians play, listen, and create together in real time.
Kavyesh will be joined by JT Bates on drums and Chris Bates on bass, to allow people to hear these ideas unfold live on stage. The session will explore ensemble dynamics, musical storytelling, space and support, and the idea of creating “order out of chaos” through improvisation.
