About the Event
Freshly appointed as the jazz ensembles director at Gustavus Adolphus College, trombonist Jackson Churchill is excited to debut at Jazz Central Studios on October 3. Born and raised in Minnesota, Jackson spent the last several years teaching and performing in Iowa, and he developed a distinctly original voice as a composer and improviser. Joining him is an all-star cast from his former home: Mike Conrad (piano), Miles Kean (bass), and Zane Gedler (drums). The band will perform works from Jackson's debut album "On Your Mark," as well as a selection of standards.
