Ethan Ostrow Solo piano

Ethan Ostrow is a New York-based pianist, composer, and vocalist originally from Berkeley, CA. Ethan’s band, The Outside In, approaches modern jazz with heavy rock sensibilities; and can be described a blend between the Brian Blade Fellowship, Snarky Puppy, the Pat Metheny Group, and something completely new. The band is quickly establishing themselves in NYC with their deep, powerful sound, and will be releasing their debut album “The Outside In: Live in Brooklyn” (feat. Dayna Stephens) this Spring. Ethan also performs regularly throughout the country with trumpeter Kellin Hanas.

Ethan is thrilled to return to Minneapolis, where he spent a year studying with Dean Sorenson and Phil Hey at the University of Minnesota. Ethan is a recent graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, having been mentored by Stefon Harris, Dayna Stephens, Ingrid Jensen, Jaleel Shaw, and Phil Markowitz.
