Andrew Schwandt Trio

Saxophonist Andrew Schwandt will be joined by Fred Flowerday and Haralds Bondaris for an evening of inventive, lightly funky jazz. Andrew Schwandt was born and raised in the Twin Cities, and he has been performing professionally since 1997. He lived and played in New York City between 2016 and 2021. When he moved back, he brought with him the energy and vitality that's keeping jazz music relevant in today's world. Andrew's trio features veteran Twin Cities musicians Fred Flowerday (on keyboard) and Haralds Bondaris (on drums). The chemistry among the three is undeniable, and the music draws from Andrew's favorite bands, such as Chris Potter's Underground, Michael Brecker, and the Yellowjackets. The Andrew Schwandt Trio has a unique sound that's accessible to the casual listener yet interesting to the jazz enthusiast.
